چکیده
In South Asian countries, the lucrative production of peaches has been seriously threatened by an assortment biotic stresses especially nematodes. This situation compromises achievement sustainable development goals (SDGs) related to food security and zero hunger. Recently under changing climate, root-knot nematodes genus Meloidogyne have emerged as most damaging phytopathogenic nematodes, while efficacy chemical control remained limited. Therefore, a study was executed assess four biocontrol agents including Pochonia chlamydosporia, Purpureocillum lilacinum, Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride (at concentrations 2.5 × 103, 5 7.5 1 104) along with nematicide Rugby treatment against javanica on peach. The response variables included nematode infestations in terms number galls, egg masses, reproductive factors. P. lilacinus harzianum (1 104 concentration) reduced galls 18% 16%, respectively, than control. All exhibited their effectiveness significantly reducing eggs per mass, factors, these statistically at par each other. proved that application holds potential for controlling might be developed potent strategy replace or least reduce use traditional chemicals avoiding environmental pollution contamination.

Quality oriented fruit breeding: Peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch]
Promising new tools for peach fruit quality breeding have been revised in this work. These tools included fruit quality evaluation through physical, chemical and sensorial parameters and post-harvest storage evaluation. The development of a feasible method for an early testing of peach selections generated in breeding programs is also well described together with the discussion of the inheritan...

متن کاملAssociation genetics of chilling injury susceptibility in peach (Prunus persica (L.) Batsch) across multiple years
Peach and nectarine (Prunus persica L.) are highly perishable; they ripen and deteriorate quickly at ambient temperature. Storage at low temperature (0-5 °C) is a common strategy used to slow the ripening processes and to extend shelf life. However, if susceptible varieties are held too long at a low temperature, they will not ripen properly and will develop chilling injury (CI) symptoms like m...
